The Band gave the inaugural performance on the newly built Abbey Grounds Bandstand in May 2000.
The first of the Band’s ‘Christmas Cracker’ concerts was given in 2001. These popular concerts are given each December in the Parish Church and raise money for local charities. Each year the Band invites guest performers to join them at the concert.
The Band celebrated its 90th Anniversary in 2009 with a concert under the banner ‘Cirencester Makes Music’ which in turn formed part of the centenary celebrations for the Bingham Hall.
This was the most ‘mobile’ decade for the Band with five different bandrooms. Since 2006 the Band have been tenants of the Bingham Library Trustees and have rehearsed in the basement of Bingham House. Built in 1905, Bingham House was originally the ‘The Bingham Library’ and the Bandroom was the Library’s gymnasium.
